Your shortlist

The actual list of places you save is stored in your browser on that device. It is not copied into a Neighbourhood Finds account or central shortlist database. It remains there until you remove the places or clear that browser's site data.

When you add or remove a heart, an anonymous analytics event records the place, its category, the neighbourhood, and the resulting shortlist size. This helps identify useful places and categories without collecting your name or email.

Site analytics

PostHog is used to understand page visits and interactions such as searches, category, area and price filters, place views, Maps clicks, shortlist actions, price-source clicks, and external ordering or booking-link clicks. Standard browser, device, referring-page, and anonymous visitor information may accompany those events. Session recording is disabled, and Neighbourhood Finds does not create identified visitor profiles.

Community recommendations

A recommendation stores the place or venue name, the details you enter, an optional public source link, its review status, and timestamps. The form does not ask for your name or email. Submissions stay private until they are checked; publishing a place never publishes contributor identity because none is collected.

Optional Swiggy connection

Swiggy connection is disabled for public visitors while staging and approval are incomplete. When enabled, connecting is optional and uses Swiggy's own authorization screen. Neighbourhood Finds stores the access token encrypted, gives the browser only an opaque secure cookie, and limits the session to five days. Disconnecting deletes the stored session, and an automatic daily cleanup removes expired authorization state and sessions.

The current staging integration is read-only. It can discover restaurants, menus, saved delivery addresses, Dineout details, and available slots. It cannot place an order or book a table. Existing Swiggy and District links take you to those providers, where their own privacy terms apply.

Your controls

• Remove individual hearts or clear this site's browser data to erase the local shortlist.
• Use the Swiggy disconnect control, once available, to delete the encrypted session immediately.
• Use the community correction form to identify a recommendation you want reviewed or removed.
• Block or clear analytics storage using your browser's privacy controls.
